Interview with the Artist
Q: Where do you find inspiration from?
A: My inspiration comes from a mixture of films and events in my personal life.
Q: What was your inspiration for this particular piece?
A: I had a mouse problem, and while dealing with them I felt sympathetic towards them and wondered what I was in their eyes.
Q: What is your creative process?
A: My process is a mixture of structure and spontaneous decisions in the moment. I usually come up with the main attraction of a piece and everything around it comes in the process.
Q: Is there a story your piece is trying to tell? If so, what is it?
A: A giant cyclops is attacking a mouse village with one brave adventurer ready to take the challenge. It is symbolic of many challenges we are faced with and how we may greet them. Will we run and hide, or will we face the new challenge.
Q: What does art mean to you?
A: To me, art is life.
