You say you want to slay serpents like a boss, so what are you doing sitting on your rear, legs crossed, sipping on your Stanley, sighing as you stare at the broken glass, shards and blood—you’re spitting on Earth’s surface like a spoiled daughter, heart not scorching, heart not charged. Because you wanted to slay dragons, and—well—the dragons are driving overhead, right above you, darting their scaled, crooked wings up and down, down and up—but there you are, sitting on your rear, legs crossed, sipping on your Stanley, stifling a sigh—or is it a yawn?—your legs in place, like you’ve finished the race. But you haven’t finished the race, and a serpent’s flying in the air, coughing, spitting fire at small and large bodies, and you know them, too, but now charcoaled, crusted, their skin curled, a cloud of smoke whirls. And it’s also spitting at you. Cuts crease. Blood spills. You’ll soon be ashes ‘cause a serpent’s right there, sweetie. But its boss? His head’s already been crushed. The hard part’s finished. Now stop sipping on your Stanley—get off your rear and slay.
