Esteban Mielnik and is an artist and a writer. He’s been doing art and writing ever since he was very young. He has been with NESA Creative Writing for almost three years now, and it's helped him to really get back into the groove for writing. He often writes more cynical pieces related to his own personal experiences or things within society as a way to criticize while still leaving things up to interpretation.

Hey darling, give me a mouth to bleed from

Tell me some gelatinous sugary lie with rainbow sprinkles and all
Chewy chewy and oh-so sweet
That can keep me from stirring up the devil
But can still make me speak

Give me my brains that I oh-so need
Served pretty on a fool’s gold platter
Let a poor idiot eat the false hope he’s begged for
Oh honey, let them eat cake!

Tell me what to say to be saved
Oh tell me what to say to be afraid
Make me mad, mad, mad!
Give the news a story to say!
Give the people a farce to parade!

Loving is a harrowing, bittersweet thing
It makes me ponder,
How it stings, oh how it makes me sing

Hating hating is such a thrilling feeling
My desperate words will never show what I really mean
‘Til somebody tells me what lines to read
When the producers tell me which director sells the good cocaine

Honey honey, let them eat cake

Until our heads go flying

And our kids beg for mercy

Let them eat cake
