Editors’ Note
Quirk 2024 (Vol. 30.1)
Dearest Reader,
You are the reason why we exist. Without our audience, Quirk would not be the journal that it is today. We thank you for continuing to value the power that writing holds and celebrating creative excellence, and a big congratulations to all of our contributors and their marvelous work! In a world that’s begun to lose its value for art and literature, it is up to us, the artists and its appreciators, to continue platforming and sharing the language of the soul: Art.
You may notice that many of our selections this spring are rooted in human connections and a search for familiarity within memory. Fitting, isn’t it? During times like these when every corner of the world is forecasted with tragedy and pain, somehow, love and light can be carved out. That’s how it is with poets and writers, they just can’t help but feel. And maybe, within these pages of bleeding hearts and windows into worlds of deep love and unspoiled wonder, you’ll find something that makes you feel too. We sure did, and it is meant to be shared.
Along with the rest of this year's editorial team, I am proud to share our 30th edition of Quirk with our wonderful readers!
We hope you enjoy.
